Rik Roberts is a graduate of Birmingham Conservatoire in England, where he studied composition with renowned Anglo-Indian composer John Mayor and British composer Andrew Downes. Rik performs his works in Japan, Malaysia, India, Morocco, Belarus, UK, Germany, and Poland. He is equally adept in the Dance, Electro, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Ethnic, and Classical genres. Rik's elegant music has been described as “a vast array of emotions, sometimes harmonically advanced but often beautifully simple, often ethnic, always classy.”
Rik Roberts has studied Indian Classical Music, and is one of the few British musicians to be invited to play at a major festival in Belarus. He believes a musician has a duty to learn to appreciate all musical styles without prejudice, which allows for his impressive versatility. Rik also loves to go the extra mile with his music, throwing in unexpected but delightful “twists,” often creating what he calls eclectic musical soup, which is a major part of his music-making process today.
