Catya Maré is a critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning songwriter, violinist and music producer, performing in a variety of styles and genres, including world, orchestral, ambient, electronica and pop. Catya won the Billboard World Song Contest and Hollywood Music in Media Award in 2009, and recently won the Editors Choice Awards on a popular website. Her music is featured in two Hollywood movies, Butterflies in the Wind, and Homecoming, and TV shows like Cruisin´with E-Rider. Catya's evocative and sensual music will add zest to our clients' film and TV productions.
Catya Maré grew up in Denmark and now resides in Los Angeles, California. She has performed as a classical violinist since her early childhood and is gaining a worldwide recognition due to her talented performances. Catya previously held the position of an alternating concertmaster with Aarhus Symfoni Orkester (DK) and has done numerous performances at concert halls and major museums, such as National Galerie Berlin and Kunsthaus Zurich. Catya began composing and producing her own music in 2005, and has released three orchestral/ambient albums to date.
