USA Composer Al Cohen has produced, engineered and played guitar on countless records, jingles, films, and video scores. His songs and compositions have won numerous awards, including Billboard, ASCAP and The World Peace Organization. Al’s music has been featured in Law and Order, Ed, Saturday Night Live, Chris Issak Show, Inside The N. B. A., In the Mix, MTV and the NFL Superbowl. His scores have premiered at The Museum of Modern Art and The Whitney Museum in NYC, and he’s played in two dozen Broadway shows like A Chorus Line, Lion King, Rent, Evita, Fame, Fosse, and others.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Composition. In addition to the above Broadway shows, Al Cohen performed Annie Get Your Gun, Blood Brothers, Grease, Ragtime, and Sugar Babies. He has toured with Rock 'n Roll Legends Bo Diddley and Ronnie Spector. Recently, Mr. Cohen was the Music Coordinator/Guitarist for the off-Broadway production of Frankenstein. As a performer in ALOID, Al and the band have received critical acclaim, and have been featured in many UFO oriented concerts and TV shows. His prophetic lyrics have been quoted in OMNI Magazine, NY Times and The Post.
