Kansas pianist, composer and arranger Tod Demuth's music reflects much of America’s finest, most revered music from the 20s, 30s, and 40s. His music is featured in short films by Cinemadog Productions, the Vancouver Film School, Tuscarora Films and Always Hopeful Ministries, promotion spots for LA Theatre Works, and in video games with Oberon Media. Tod has played in Jazz combos, Top 40, Big Bands, Country Bands, and show bands, and formally studied piano and composition -- all leading to an inspiring and fun series of piano tracks perfect for all media.
Tod Demuth's piano music beautifully reflects the importance of American music history. His meticulous and inspiring renditions bring an historic authenticity to Film and TV dramatizations depicting earlier eras in American Music, including Ragtime, Jazz, Folk and uplifting Spiritual compositions.
From Delta Blues and Dixieland Jazz influences of Professor Longhair, Marcia Ball and Doctor John to the ragtime and honky tonk of Scott Joplin, Joseph Lamb, Max Morath, Joanne Castle and Big Tiny Little, Tod's music presents an energetic vintage sound of solo piano work as it used to be. His tracks celebrate the 1920s, '30s, and '40s, which can add an historic authenticity to Film and TV dramatizations from these earlier eras in American Music.
Tod's work also includes meditative solo piano music like the work of George Winston, Jim Brickman and Yanni, with contemporary arrangements of hymns and folk songs show the emotional side of the piano much in the way of Chopin, Schubert and other Romantic composers.
