Once in awhile a band comes along to define the struggles of finding true love and fitting in -- even though we're dashed on the shores of craziness at every damn turn! Love left on the table, effort not respected, affection not returned. But the dynamic Ex Box Boys bring hope through their Pop and Indie Rock lyrics & music. Lead singer, songwriter Phil Fischer says the band met in 2008 playing Halo 3 online. Discovering they were musicians first and gamers second, they're now changing the world! According to Fischer, once the Ex Box Boys got together, "We just started working the magic.” The members are: Lead singer and songwriter Phil Fischer (P-Box), 37; drummer Joseph Childres (Beat Box), 32; lead guitarist Bryan Barrows (B-Box), 22; and bass player David Sproul (D-Box), 24. They all live in the great Northwest, in Washington State.
Fischer is a behind-the-scenes songwriter of note, helping several of today's artists win Grammies and other awards, while Childers previously was a drummer touring with the Rock Band, Vendetta Red, out of Seattle.
Singing in modern Beatles’ harmony, the Ex Box Boys wrote their first track, “Xbox Live,” and then they whipped out the fierce “Gears of War.” Next was “Master Chief” and “Call of Duty,” and the hits just keep coming!
